Your participation in this golf tournament, led by the Winchester Rotary, will directly support a
vital need at Blue Ridge Care: the renovation of the Family Room at our Hospice Inpatient Care
Center (ICC). The ICC provides short-term, around-the-clock hospice care in a homelike setting
for patients experiencing acute symptoms that cannot be safely managed at home. The Family
Room is a critical space where loved ones can gather during their loved one’s final
moments—seeking peace, connection, and comfort amidst grief and uncertainty. It also serves
as a private setting for our care team to hold sensitive conversations with families about care
decisions and end-of-life needs. Renovation plans include drywall repair and painting, new
furniture and appliances such as comfortable seating, a dinette set, refrigerator, microwave, and
bathroom upgrades. These improvements will create a more welcoming, functional, and
emotionally supportive space—ensuring families feel cared for and comforted during one of
life’s most difficult times. Every swing, sponsorship, and show of support makes this possible,
