As President John shared last week, we need eight new members to hit our goal for the year. The truth is, if we’re not growing, we’re not just standing still—we’re losing momentum. Fresh faces bring fresh ideas, energy, connections, and perspectives—everything that keeps our club vibrant, dynamic, and impactful. Here’s how you can help: It’s as easy as a Simple Ask—no hard sell required! Just say:

“Would you like to join me for lunch at my Rotary meeting this week? I think you’ll find it interesting — lunch is  on me!” (The club  will pick up the tab.) Think about potential members in your circle—colleagues, clergy, board members of other organizations, first responders, teachers, coaches. We have membership options to fit any schedule.

    Health Report Libba reported that she had delivered the big “thinking of you” card to Thomas Racca’s wife who is dealing with chemo treatments for brain cancer. Dick Kent’s wife Darlene continues to improve after her round of chemo as well. Health Tip As we sadly say goodbye to the incomparable Dolly Parton, here are five bits of wisdom  worth remembering: Value isn’t measured by a price tag. There’s no one right way to show up. The smallest things can hold the biggest memories. Give yourself the support you need. Being yourself is the whole point. Five simple reminders — and a lovely way to remember someone who brought so much joy to the world.

    Spread Some Good: September Service Project at the Peace Garden Grab a shovel and help us put Rotary service into action! For our September Service Project, we are heading to the Winchester Rescue Mission to help build their brand-new Peace Garden—a welcoming outdoor space designed for reflection and rest for residents and guests. Thanks to the generosity of our club members who purchased the materials, the cobblestone is ready to go. Now, we just need a little muscle to help spread it.
